Warning Date: 5:47 PM EDT on July 9, 2008

WarningSum:...A Severe Thunderstorm Warning Remains In Effect Until 600 Pm Edt
For Southeastern Pittsylvania...Southern Charlotte And Southern
Halifax Counties...

Warning Message:At 545 PM EDT...National Weather Service Doppler radar continued to
indicate a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging
winds in excess of 60 mph.  These storms were located along a line
extending from Staunton River State Park to Virgilina...or along a
line extending from Redoak to Virgilina...moving east at 30 mph.
If on or near the western end of John Kerr Reservoir...get out of 
the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember...lightning 
can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can 
hear thunder...you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move 
to safe shelter now. Don't be caught on the water in a thunderstorm!

indicate a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in
excess of 60 mph.  This storm was located near Dry Fork...or near
Blairs...moving east at 32 mph.
If severe weather approaches your area...go inside a sturdy shelter.
Remember...a severe thunderstorm can produce large damaging hail...
damaging winds in excess of 55 mph...deadly lightning...and very
heavy rain.

were located along a line extending from Nathalie to Ridgeway...or
along a line extending from Nathalie to Ingram...moving east at 30
mph.
Also..another storm just west of Mount Laurel has the potential of 
producing penny size hail.
If severe weather approaches your area...go inside a sturdy shelter.
